We are so excited to be working on getting this project up and running! Here at Ander's Acres we currently rehabilitate and specialize in raccoons (my favorites), squirrels, opossums, fox and whitetail deer. All animals are "soft" released. This means that when they are weaned and healthy for release, they are placed in their new home location with their cage, fed and watered daily until there are no signs of them comming back for the food or shelter. This lets us know that they have found their new home and food and are back in the wild where they belong.
What a satisfying day that is for all of the hard work and money that is well spent on special diet foods, cages, caging materials, vet bills and countless other supplies that are needed to care for the animals properly.
So, keep checking back with us! We wwill have lots of useful information for you. We will even post some of our most heartwarming stories of the animals that we care for. You'll even be able to receive update on the animals you have brought into the shelter for care. As usual, you are always invited to come back for release day.
